Deacon House is inspired by classic Georgian and Federal-style architecture popular in the United States from 1720 to 1840. Georgian and Federal revival homes are still being built today.

The Deacon House has an attached root cellar, also known as a cold or potato cellar. The house can be built with a gable, gambrel, or mansard roof.
